So what are we to make of Naiyerah Kolkailahs Viewpoint (Sept. 24), Follow prophets example? She states, We encourage those who wish to provoke Muslims and defame Islam to consider deeply the repercussions of their actions. This is nothing if not a veiled threat.
Repercussions? And what might those be? Kolkailah says Muslims value free speech, but of course only if that speech does not provoke or inflame or defame. If I wish to state something that might be provocative to a Muslim, do I have to worry about repercussions?
A man walking around with a chip on his shoulder is surely looking for a fight. It seems there is an entire religion with the same problem.
