Cal Poly police to set up DUI checkpoint Friday night

Published: September 26, 2012

Cal Poly University Police will conduct a DUI and driver license checkpoint in San Luis Obispo from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday at an undisclosed location.

“We want our students to understand that we value their safety and that driving under the influence is unacceptable, whether in the community or on campus,” said Cal Police Officer Max Schad. “We want their experience here at Cal Poly to be a positive one.”

A grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety is funding the checkpoint.
