Section of Santa Barbara Street in SLO to be repaved next week

Published: September 26, 2012

Roadwork will reduce Santa Barbara Street to one lane from Leff Street to Broad Street in San Luis Obispo starting Oct. 3.

The city hired R. Burke Corporation for $379,643 to repave the street.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. and not be complete until 6 a.m. the next day.

Traffic on that road will be restricted to one way during the day and road closures and detours will be in place starting at 7 p.m. Oct. 3.

SLO Transit bus service routes four and five will also be impacted as some bus stops might be closed. For information on changes to those routes visit http://www.slotransit.org. Businesses will remain open near the construction areas.
