UPDATE:A San Miguel man reported missing Monday has been found safe.
Stephen Edward Bowman, 52, was reported missing after not returning from a morning walk.
He was found safe at approximately 7 p.m. on a remote hillside about a half-mile from his house, according to the Sheriff's Office. No other details were released.
ORIGINAL STORY:The Sheriffs Office is searching for a 52-year-old San Miguel man who reportedly went missing Monday morning, according to a news release.
Stephen Edward Bowman was last seen at 9:30 a.m. leaving his sisters home in the 9100 block of Crestview Way to go on a walk, according to the sheriff's news release.
Bowman is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 195 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue denim shorts, a white T-shirt with an unknown logo, possibly a Miami Dolphins ball cap, flip-flops and possibly carrying a black backpack, authorities say.
The sheriff's search-and-rescue team, deputies and a sheriff's dog unit are currently involved in the search.
Authorities say Bowman moved to San Miguel from Hawaii in February. Those with information are encouraged to call the Sheriff's dispatch office at 781-4550.
