Game was Los Padres League opener for both teams

The Templeton High football team defeated Nipomo 36-18 at home Friday night in the Los Padres League opener for both teams.

The Titans (0-5) couldn’t stop Eagles quarterback Alex Elterman, who had 13 completions on 25 attempts for 235 yards and four touchdowns, in addition to a 35-yard field goal.

Connor Truhitte had 13 carries for 90 yards and a touchdown and a 23-yard reception for another touchdown for Templeton (4-1).

Tobey Isbell had five receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns, and Tyler Murphee had two receptions for 80 yards and one touchdown for the Eagles.
