Tyler Daniel Hanks, our beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012.

Tyler was born in Ventura, Calif., and moved to Paso Robles when he was 6. He lived at Heritage Ranch and attended Lillian Larson School.

Eight years ago, he moved to Cambria, where he attended Santa Lucia Middle School and Leffingwell High School. He later graduated from the Grizzly Academy in San Luis Obispo.

Tyler’s kind heart, contagious smile, love for his family and friends, passion for music and fun will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Sheri Grayson; father, Daniel Hanks; brothers Patrick and Brandon; niece, Paige; grandparents; great-grandmother; extended family; his beloved dog, Tyson; and many, many friends.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Tyler Hanks name to the Grizzly Academy will go towards a scholarship fund to help new “at risk” youths with their start-up kits.
