Two residents were unharmed when a man who was allegedly intoxicated drove his vehicle into the living room of their mobile home early Sunday morning, the San Luis Obispo Police Department said in a news release.

At about 1:15 a.m., Los Osos resident Phillip Garcia, 27, was driving west on Tank Farm Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control turning south onto South Higuera Street, police said.

Police said his vehicle crashed into the mobile home, penetrated the wall and came to rest in the living room.

Garcia, who had to be extracted from his vehicle, sustained minor injuries.

He was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and reckless driving, and he was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail.
