The Cal Poly womens soccer team fell 5-1 to No. 17 ranked BYU on Thursday.
The Mustangs scored first when Elise Krieghoff found Cici Kobinski for the goal in the fifth minute.
The Cougars rallied with five unanswered goals from five different players the rest of the way.
BYU had 16 shots on goal to Cal Polys four.
The Mustangs return to action when they travel to Fresno State on Sept. 23.
Mid-Coast Volleyball Club to hold team tryouts
The Mid-Coast Volleyball Club will hold team tryouts Nov. 4 and again Nov. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Colony Park Community Center gym.
Twelve, 14-, 16- and 18-year old teams will compete in northern and southern Calif. tournaments as well as local competitions.
Mid-Coast is adding two additional non-travel, 12-and-under youth teams this season. Non-travel teams of all age divisions compete in local tournaments only.
