Letter: Misplaced priorities

Published: September 13, 2012

As our nation was somberly observing the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, our country was hit once again with what could be interpreted as acts of war.

Our embassies in Egypt and Libya were under siege. The ambassador to Libya was murdered, as well as three other Americans.

The Tribune chose to run these stories on Page 5 of the Sept. 12 paper. Really? Page 5? Why bother to run the stories at all?

And what did The Tribune choose as its front page headliner? Abel Maldonado was a no-show at a speaking engagement.

This tells me two things: It reaffirms the fact that the liberal media bias flourishes, and it tells me this newspaper staff has its priorities way out of whack.
