Each day, dispatchers from the seven police departments in San Luis Obispo County take dozens of calls from residents seeking help for issues ranging from minor disputes to serious crimes. Fighting feral feeders 6:12 p.m. Sept. 2, 3212 El Camino Real Someone was putting cat food between the buildings at Ford Racing at night, even after being told not to. Officers contacted the feeders, who were advised of trespassing.

Lambocide 1:34 p.m. Sept. 3, call to Atascadero Police Department A person wanted information about shooting his lamb in city limits.

Comedy and tragedy 1:28 p.m. Sept. 3, 4500 El Camino Real Officers were asked to check on a woman who was standing on the street, crying and laughing. Officers said she checked out fine.

Sidewalk art 11:06 a.m. Sept. 2, 1 High School Hill Someone reported chalk writing on the pavement in the upper parking lot at the high school.

Very carefully 5:14 p.m. Sept. 3, call to Atascadero Police Department A person requested information about how to properly transport a firearm on amotorcycle.

Lost luggage 8:27 a.m. Sept. 7, 7111 El Camino Real A suitcase had been outside Central Coast Pizza for more than a day. Officers took it for safekeeping.

Cart attack 2:15 a.m. Sept. 8, 6005 El Camino Real A person said an intoxicated man, who was in his 30s and wearing a red flannel shirt, threw a shopping cart at a vehicle.

Hog heaven 11:31 p.m. Sept. 8, 8400 block of Pinedorado Road A person said her dog was barking, possibly at a wild animal in the yard. Officers checked and found several wild boars.
