Derek Viles had 14 carries for 133 yards and a touchdown, Tristan Collins had 79 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries, and the Morro Bay High football team improved to 2-1 on Friday night with a 36-16 win at Kern Valley.

Morro Bay quarterback Jordan Bray had 10 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown and finished 5-for-10 passing for 11 yards.

The Pirates won big despite three touchdowns nullified by penalties and two turnovers in the fourth quarter.
