Patrick James, which operates a men's specialty store in downtown San Luis Obispo, is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The Fresno-based company operates 15 stores in California, Nevada, Oregon and Arizona and distributes a catalog to 3 million nationwide; its website is patrickjames.com.
