Ivee Collins won 6-1, 6-0, 7-6 (7-3) to lead the San Luis Obispo High girls tennis team (1-3, 1-0 PAC 7) to its first win of the season Thursday, a 17-1 decision over Pioneer Valley.
Maya OBrien and Maia Hoffman both won both of their singles sets for San Luis Obispo, which swept singles play.
Paso Robles 10, Righetti 8
Maria Petiy swept, and Riley Caruana won two of her three singles sets to lead the Bearcats (3-0) to victory in their PAC 7 opener.
Petiy won 6-3, 6-0, 6-1 and, after falling 6-0 in her first match, Caruana won 6-3, 6-4.
The doubles team of Maddie Berry and Katie Evenson 6-4, 6-4 for Paso Robles after losing their first set 6-3.
Templeton 13, Morro Bay 5
The Eagles defeated the Pirates (0-3, 0-1 LPL) in the league opener for both teams.
Sierra Wilcox won two of her three singles sets for Morro Bay.
Coast Union 12, Mission Prep 6
Melissa Mathieson swept 6-2, 6-3, 6-2, and Kaytlin Benifazi won her first set 6-4 for their first career set wins for the Broncos (1-3).
Benifazi suffered an injuring and was not able to finish her other two matches.
Alex Varagoza swept her matches 6-1, 6-0, 6-0. Coast Unions top doubles team of Morgan May and Kylie Castle swept 6-2, 6-4, 7-5.
Orcutt Academy 17, Nipomo 1
Bekah Archbeaults 6-4 set win was the only point for Nipomo (0-2).
GIRLS GOLF
San Luis Obispo 251, Santa Ynez 305
Neha Sikand led the Tigers (2-0) with a 7-over 42 on the front nine at Dairy Creek Golf Course.
Sam Tsau shot a 48 and Destiny Castro added a 49 for the Tigers. Sam Lopez added a 51 for San Luis Obispo.
Arroyo Grande 242, San Marcos 297
Anna Zhang shot a 45 to lead the Eagles (4-0) to a win over San Marcos on the front nine at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
Zhang edged teammate Ramie Castilleja, who shot a 46. Tessa Oates shot a 49 and Breana Garcia shot a 52 for Arroyo Grande.
Morro Bay 259, St. Joseph 274
The Pirates won despite a 2-over 37 by the Knights Desiree Gillaspy on the front nine at Morro Bay Golf Course.
Jennifer Baltimore shot a 43, Lily Keogh shot a 44 and Michelle Cordova shot a 45 for Morro Bay.
Nipomo 275, Paso Robles 292
Courtney Cuzick and Ashley Gonzales both shot a 14-over 50 at the Paso Robles Golf Course to medal for the Titans.
Ashley Ruiz shot a 52 and Paige Johnson added a 61 for Nipomo.
Violet Lopez and Carly McCall led the Bearcats (0-1) with a 54 apiece.
BOYS WATER POLO
San Marcos 9, Arroyo Grande 7
Toby Tonascia and David Vitt both scored two goals, but the visiting Royals held off the Eagles (1-1) in a nonleague game. Chandler Mankins made 10 saves in goal for Arroyo Grande.
