In a 16-4 season-opening victory over Cabrillo, Jack Empey led the Arroyo Grande boys water polo team with four goals, and Nick Chapman and Nick Valente each scored three.
Goalkeeper Chandler Mankins had a team-high nine blocks, and Clint Coucette subbed in to record six. Arroyo Grande hosts San Marcos today.
