Congressional candidate Abel Maldonado will speak to and answer questions from the Tea Party on Sept. 10 in Atascadero. The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Atascadero Lake Pavilion, 9315 Pismo Ave.
Tea Party organizers say they will question Maldonado about his voting record and alert him to their concerns.
Maldonado, a Republican, is running for Congress against incumbent Democrat Lois Capps in the redrawn 24th Congressional District.
The event is free and open to the public.
