Candidates for public office owe voters nothing less than a spirited debate on the fundamental issues we face this election season.

As a candidate for San Luis Obispo City Council, I look forward to engaging in that debate and to conducting a campaign that celebrates the principles of fairness, transparency and accuracy. I’m happiest when I’m hearing your concerns; to me, that’s the campaign. I can’t imagine doing it any other way. I accept Dan Carpenter’s challenge of keeping campaigns classy and extend that challenge to include everyone working on, managing and supporting Dan’s campaign.

I hope he will join me in directing his supporters and staff to run a classy campaign focused on the needs of the community, reinvigorating the local economy, establishing head-of-household jobs, and preserving our environment and open spaces, and addressing the homeless issue here in our great city.
