Your perspective on food waste (“Food waste a problem worth downsizing,” Aug. 25) mentions that “Americans are wasting up to 40 percent of the country’s food supply” and “the average family tosses out 20 pounds per person, per month.” It does not mention that if you have a pig, as I do, they love food waste — and they are part of my food supply.
