The Cal Poly womens soccer team powered to a 4-1 win over Sacramento State on Sunday on the strength of a solid second half.
After Sacramento State tied the score at 1-1 in the 52nd minute, the Mustangs (3-0-1) scored three goals in a six-minute span, including two by Cristina Farrington. Braelyn Fetsch also scored.
Sara Epps scored in the 44th minute to give Cal Poly a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Cici Kobinski had two assists for the Mustangs.
Goalkeeper Alyssa Giannetti continued her strong play with seven saves.
Raylene Larot scored the lone goal for Sacramento State (1-1-1).
Cal Polys next game is Wednesday against Cal. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Huskies scored on their first shot on goal in the 33rd minute, then converted a second-half penalty kick in a win over the Mustangs in Seattle.
Cal Poly (0-2-0) managed just two shots on goal in the game.
Trailing 1-0 in the 64th minute, Cal Poly gave up a penalty kick when midfielder Nolan Moore was given a red card for a foul in the box on Washington forward Abdul Aman.
The Mustangs will travel to San Jose State on Sunday to complete its season-opening three game road trip.
