Two arrests were made Saturday in the San Miguel area in connection with burglaries from vehicles in the area, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies investigating the burglaries tried to arrest two males and one female seen running across a field in the area of the 1100-1300 block of L Street at about 6:45 a.m. An 18-year-old female was taken into custody after a search of the area.

Responding to a call about suspicious persons in San Miguel Park at about 1 p.m., a deputy was able to arrest one of the two male suspects.

The third suspect went over a fence and onto Highway 101, witnesses said, according to the Sheriff’s Office report.

Deputies, CHP officers and a CHP helicopter were unable to locate the third suspect.
