I read the Dorothy Cutter Aug. 10 letter. She discounts the Janice Peters Viewpoint about the high cost and consequences of moving the Morro Bay-Cayucos wastewater treatment plant as “scare tactics.” Yes, she should be very afraid. The costs will only increase the longer construction is delayed.

Within three years, Morro Bay and Cayucos can have a modern sewage plant running, at the existing site, and benefiting our environment. Or we can move the plant and repeat the Los Osos saga of study and redesign for many years and place a crippling cost on the ratepayers.
