Cal Poly women’s basketball coach Faith Mimnaugh announced Friday that the Mustangs signed Taryn Garza to a National Letter of Intent.

Garza joins Cal Poly as a transfer from Modesto Junior College, where she competed in track and field this past year. Prior to her enrollment at Modesto, Garza played basketball at the University of Pacific during the 2010-2011 season, where she averaged 3.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11.6 minutes per game.
