The Viewpoint from former Morro Bay Mayor Janice Peters (Tribune, Aug. 8) was filled with inaccurate information. Her statement of what our sewer/water bills will be after the wastewater treatment plant will be moved was pulled out of a hat. We have never been presented with honest cost figures.

The money that has been collected by increased sewer/water bills for the new plant has been wasted on consultants. This is the true cost. When will this current Joint Powers Authority stop wasting our money and be honest and do the right thing for the people of Morro Bay and Cayucos?

We have been presented with scare tactics for too long.
