Published: August 9, 2012

The Paso Robles Police Department is looking for a King City man they've identified as a "person of interest" in a shooting near a Paso Robles liquor store July 27.

Police say Jose DeJesus Hernandez Jr., 28, was at the scene when the shooting occurred, based on a review of J N J's Liquor store’s surveillance system. He is currently sought by California parole officials for a parole violation.

An investigation by the Paso Robles Police Department, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department Gang Unit, the King City Police Department and California State Parole determined rival gangs from King City and Paso Robles shot at one another in the parking lot. No one was injured.

Anyone with information about Hernandez’s location is asked to call 237-6464. Anonymous information may be left at 549-7867 or by texting SLOTIPS plus your message to 274637.
