Greenspace kicks off its new Creekside Art Festival Saturday, Aug. 11, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Greenspace Creekside Reserve, 2264 Center Street in Cambrias Historic East Village.
The Greenspace Creekside Art Festival is a new twist on a 23-year Art Auction tradition. Free and outdoors, it will feature artists demonstrating and selling their work, sale of 90 budget-friendly works of art donated to Greenspace, snacks, lemonade, beer and wine plus tours of the newly restored Cambria Chinese temple.
Working in a variety of media, artists on site will include Dennis Curry, Lucia Capacchione, Carol Jean Attoe, Lana Cochrun, Art Van Rhyn, Chris Kratt, Shannon McNamara, Jan Walker, Clarence Weiss, Brett White, Chris Kratt and Lynda Olson Adelson. Enjoy plein air painting, photography, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, drawing, prints and more.
Additionally, two special collections are being offered for the first time: A portfolio of the late Warren Talcotts drawings and prints, and a collection of posters from the Cross Pollination Series shown at the Womans Building in Los Angeles in 1986.
