The California Landscape Contractors Association recently held its second Landscape Beautification Awards for the San Luis Obispo chapter. Judges evaluated 38 projects from Paso Robles to Solvang, with the following winners:

• Sage Ecological Landscapes, sweepstakes award for best overall project, as well as first place for a large residential project.

• Paradise Environments, John Thomas Memorial Award for best residential project.

• Left Side Landscape, first place for small residential.

• Addison Landscape, first place for medium residential, as well as hardscape.

• KD Janni Landscaping, first place in three categories: residential estates, large residential maintenance and small commercial maintenance.
