Andrew Kenny has a lot of nerve conjuring up his own vision of the massacre in a Colorado theater (We need more guns, July 22). How could he possibly arrive at a solution from this distance, especially one that claims that more guns would solve a chaotic situation? In my own, equally valid vision, more guns in that theater could have looked like a conspiracy, and everyone with a gun would have begun shooting at each other while thinking that they were heroes. In truth, neither of us should presume.
Its obvious that with a clear record, nothing but one traffic ticket and enrollment in an advanced academic program, James Holmes is clearly a qualified, responsible adult in Mr. Kennys world. But perhaps not. No, more guns is not a solution to anything.
