In the second shooting reported in Paso Robles in as many days, police say a 25-year-old Paso Robles man was shot late Saturday night.

Witnesses told authorities that the man was shot by someone he was arguing with about 11:15 p.m. in the parking lot of the Dry Creek Apartments along Corral Creek Avenue — off Creston Road and south of the Paso Robles Golf Club, according to a Paso Robles Police Department news release.

The shooter fled in what police described as a silver passenger car similar to a Honda Civic.

The man who was shot was being treated at an undisclosed hospital.

Police are not disclosing his identity or his condition, saying they are trying to notify the man’s family.

Saturday’s incident was the second shooting reported in two days in Paso Robles.

About 3:30 p.m. Friday, police said a man standing in the parking lot of J N J’s Liquor on Spring Street fired several shots into the air using a rifle or shotgun.

That shooter then left in a white car, similar to a Ford Contour; the vehicle was driven by someone else, according to police.

Based on surveillance video footage that showed the white car and bullet holes found in the liquor store’s wall, investigators believe a different person may have shot at the car in the parking lot, according to the a Police Department news release.
