Mark P. Lisa, 51, has been named chief executive officer of Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton, overseeing strategic, operational and clinical activities at the 122-bed acute care hospital.

He replaces Rick Lyons, who retired after holding the position for nine years. Under Lyons’ leadership, the hospital expanded from 84 beds; built a new hospital tower for renovated intensive care, emergency and obstetrics units; added more than 70 physicians to its medical staff; and received Tenet Healthcare’s Circle of Excellence award four times.

“Mark is a seasoned health care executive with a proven track record of strong results,” said Jeffrey Koury, senior vice president of operations for Tenet in California, in a news release. “Mark’s business acumen, coupled with his reputation for ensuring quality care and service, will make him an invaluable asset to the hospital and its surrounding community,” Koury continued.

Before joining Twin Cities, Lisa was CEO of Tenet’s Doctors Hospital of Manteca; chief operating officer of Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, Texas; and CEO of Thayer County Health Services, a nonprofit health system in south central Nebraska, Tenet said. In addition, he spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy, where he held jobs in health services administration.

Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in information systems management from Saint Martin’s College in Lacey, Wash., and a master’s degree in health administration from Chapman University in Orange, according to the news release.

He is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
