Savannah Hoagland, 20, was named Miss California Mid-State Fair on Tuesday night.

Hoagland will attend Cal Poly in the fall. A Templeton 4-H Club photography leader, she is a four-year member of the CMSF Junior Fairboard and a former Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation student.

Miss California Mid-State Fair and two princesses serve as year-round ambassadors to the fair. They appear in parades, ribbon-cuttings, meetings and other public events.

This year’s six participants were judged on their poise, appearance, fitness, speaking and overall impression.

The fair starts today and runs through July 29.
