A man suffered major injuries after crashing his car into a tree early Sunday morning in San Luis Obispo, police said.
About 4 a.m., officers and firefighters found the driver unconscious along South Higuera Street just north of Tank Farm Road, according to a San Luis Obispo Police Department news release.
Firefighters got the driver out, and he was being treated at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo.
Investigators closed a part of South Higuera Street about four hours.
They havent determined what caused the crash, and police said the driver has not been identified.
