A 19-year-old San Luis Obispo man was arrested outside a smoke shop he is accused of burglarizing Wednesday evening, according to the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
Shawn William Shinkle-Miller has been booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of burglary and resisting arrest.
San Luis Obispo police said they went to Wild Side Smoke Shop at 871 Santa Rosa St. shortly after 5:15 p.m. They said they saw a man standing next to a broken window. When they approached, he ran away, but they caught him after a short chase.
According to police, Shinkle-Miller possessed property stolen from the business. They said they found other evidence as well linking him to the crime, although they did not reveal what it was.
