South County Democrats have opened a new office in Grover Beach and will host their local Congresswoman during an open house from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. July 14.

Rep. Lois Capps, D-Santa Barbara, will be present at the new office at 278 Grand Ave.

The office will serve the coordinated campaigns of Democrats running for office, including Capps; Bill Monning, who is running to replace Republican Sam Blakeslee in the state senate; and Gerry Manata, who is seeking to displace Republican Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian.

The main county Democratic Party headquarters remains at 1406 Broad St. in San Luis Obispo.
