Published: July 11, 2012

Former Cuesta College women’s and Paso Robles High girls basketball standout Kati Sheldon will move on to play at NCAA Division III Pacific (Ore.) University next season, one of eight Cougars players moving on to four-year schools.

Sheldon ended her two-year junior college career as the program’s career scoring leader (13.9 points per game) and also ranks second in field goal percentage (47.8 percent) and third with 9.9 rebounds per game.

All-state men’s players Malte Kramer (Pepperdine) and Calen Coleman (Montana State) had already announced their plans to join Division I schools. Joining them is Denis Dobkowski Rylko, who will attend Division II South Dakota School of Mines.

Former Righetti High standout Nick Sauer (Tabor College), Marc Hopkinson (Tabor College), Luis Marrero (Bethany College) and Barry Garfinkel (Bethany College) are all attending NAIA schools in Kansas.
