Man arrested after allegedly stealing construction equipment in Paso Robles

The Paso Robles Police Department arrested Jarrod Nathanial Burris, 32, of Victorville after he allegedly stole equipment from a construction site in the 3000 block of Riverside Avenue sometime Wednesday night, according to a news release.

Police were notified at 8:35 a.m. Thursday that a large amount of construction equipment had been stolen from the fenced site overnight. A surveillance video captured the suspect and his vehicle on film.

Officers later located Burris at a nearby Motel 6, where he was staying. He was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary and grand theft and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. All of the stolen equipment was returned.
