Fairly recently, San Luis Obispo County put in a park for dogs (and owners), instead of a planned skateboard park, at the Morro Bay-Cayucos cemetery. I’ve seen several dogs and owners using it. (A fake fire plug is included.) A chemical toilet (for people) is also at this site. However, having tried it several times, I found the doors of the toilet locked. Too bad for tourists and dog owners.

Moving on, the usual parade will be put on by the Cayucos Lions on July 4. The Lions are such an asset to Cayucos. Some 20,000-plus visitors (not including dogs) will be here for the parade and other activities. Such a joy to live in this town!
