The Feline Network holds cat and kitten adoptions from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday at Petco in the Madonna Shopping Center in San Luis Obispo. Cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested and vaccinated. The adoption fee is $60 for one or $80 for two. A free vet exam is included.

Adventures with Gentle Horses childrens summer camps will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. July 14 and Aug. 11 at Heaven Can Wait Equine Sanctuary. Children ages 4 to 12 will learn equine manners, safety and grooming.
They will read to and walk the horses, create an art project and observe or participate with a gentle equine in a round pen event.
