Alternative country-rock band Wilco is slated to perform in September in Avila Beach.

Formed by singer-songwriter Jeff Tweedy in the mid-1990s, the Grammy Award-winning band has released 10 studio albums over the years, including 2004’s “A Ghost is Born” and 2007’s “Sky Blue Sky.” The group is also known for its two-disc “Mermaid Avenue” collaboration with British folk singer Billy Bragg, featuring previously unheard lyrics by folk legend Woody Guthrie.

Wilco is currently touring in support of 2011’s “The Whole Love,” nominated for a Grammy for best rock album.

Wilco performs Sept. 29 at the Avila Beach Golf Resort in Avila Beach.
