Two of Southern Californias most popular bands of the 1990s Cypress Hill and Sublime will perform next month in Avila Beach.
Reggae-rock band Sublime found widespread commercial success in 1996 with the song What I Got, released just months after frontman Bradley Nowells death.
The band split up the same year, only to re-form in 2009 with singer-guitarist Roman Ramirez at the helm. The new lineup, known as Sublime with Rome, released its debut album Yours Truly in 2011.
Grammy Award-nominated hip-hop group Cypress Hill has released eight studio albums over the years, including 1991s Cypress Hill, 1993s Black Sunday and 2010s Rise Up. The band is best known for the hit singles Insane in the Brain and Throw Your Set in the Air.
Cypress Hill and Sublime with Rome will be joined onstage by Hawaiian reggae-rock duo Pepper.
Tickets for the all-ages concert, July 24 at the Avila Beach Golf Resort in Avila Beach, are $35.
