UPDATE 4:10 p.m.: Grover Beach police have released an image of the vehicle believed to have been used in an armed robbery at Wileys Market this morning.
The image shows a white Ford F-150 or Ranger pickup on the south side of the parking lot at 601 S. 13th St., according to police. The truck was described as an extended cab pickup with a sticker at the rear fender, though police note that Ford trucks are known to have "4x4" on the rear fender/quarter panel area.
Original story: Grover Beach police are investigating a report of an armed robbery that happened this morning at Wileys Market.
According to police, two men armed with a knife and a handgun approached an employee working at the market, located at 601 S. 13th St., about 7 a.m. and demanded money.
The employee complied, and the men left the area in a white Ford F-150 truck, described as a 1990 to 2000 model with a silver toolbox in the bed. The vehicle was last seen heading north on South 13th Street.
In a news release, police described one suspect as a heavy-set man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black ball cap and blue jeans. The other man was skinny and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
