Oceano Community Services District officials hope to fill a vacancy on the district board that resulted from board member Rick Searcys resignation in May.
Anyone who is interested in serving on the district board should submit their qualifications and resume to General Manager Tom Geaslen at ocsdgm@oceanocsd.org or in a sealed envelope to the district office, 1655 Front St., by the close of business June 13.
A special meeting will be held June 15 at 3:30 p.m. to review all applicants. The successful applicant would be appointed to serve the remainder of the term, which ends in November.
The district provides water, sewer, fire protection and street lighting services to a population of 7,286 people.
Searcy resigned, citing medical conditions, less than a week after he was involved in a crash along Highway 101 and cited on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence.
