An exhibit featuring pastel works from artists nationwide will be on display at the Art Center Morro Bay through June 23.
Pastels USA, the 26th annual International Exhibition, is being presented by the Pastel Society of the West Coast.
Bobbye West-Thompson of Los Osos, a member of the Morro Bay Art Association, suggested that the art center be home to the exhibit, according to the center.
The judge was Lorenzo Chavez of Colorado, who is known for his landscapes; show chair was Gerald Boyd of Gault, Calif., a renowned painter and vice president of the Pastel Society of the West Coast.
The Art Center Morro Bay, 835 Main St., is open from noon to 4 p.m. daily. An opening reception and awards presentation will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. today.
