Man arrested for alleged auto theft in San Luis Obispo

San Luis Obispo police have arrested a homeless man on suspicion of auto theft and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

Kevin Villalobos, 24, was arrested Tuesday, three days after the vehicle was reported stolen near the intersection of Marsh and Chorro streets.

Police said Villalobos had been living at a homeless camp on the 500 block of Chorro Street. He was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail.
