The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA) has put out a casting call for a Chihuahua to fill the role of Bruiser, the main characters dog, in its upcoming production of Legally Blonde.
To pass the audition, the dog should be tan-colored, must be comfortable riding in a purse and wearing a sweater, and must be up for a two-month gig, June 19 to Aug. 19, at the PCPA theaters in Santa Maria and Solvang.
The canine actor will be watered and fed and pampered and spoiled by his very own dog wrangler.
If you think your Chihuahua has what it takes to play Bruiser, call Erik Stein at 928-7731, ext. 4119.
The Friends of the Morro Bay Police Department will hold a benefit K9 Walk-a-Thon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 9 at Morro Rock in Morro Bay.
The event also includes police K9 demonstrations (with a special appearance by Morro Bay Police Departments K9, Xello), food, beverages, adoptable dogs, a dog carnival, prizes, contests, vendors and more.
For more information, call 772-6225.
