Praising what they called his “pivotal” work in providing public safety for county residents, the county firefighters union has endorsed San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Jim Patterson for re-election.

“You understand that public safety needs to be a top priority of county government,” Steve G. Meikle, chapter director of CDF Firefighters Local ment letter to Patterson.

The union praised Patterson’s leadership in general, but also singled out the supervisor’s role in pushing for a new fire station in Creston and staffing the California Valley station.
