Robber takes envelope of cash from person in Paso Robles, police say

The Paso Robles Police Department is searching for a man who reportedly stole an envelope of cash from a person at Sixth and Park streets today, according to a report from the department’s alert service, Nixle.com.

Police received a report that a robbery occurred at about 12:40 p.m. today after a “transient-looking white male” wearing a dirty white sweater and dark-blue jeans approached a person asking for money.

The robber then “pushed the victim in the chest and took an envelope containing a large amount of cash,” police said in the alert. Details such as the amount of money taken and the exact location of the robbery weren’t immediately available.

The robber was last seen running on Niblick Road near Walmart.
