The Atascadero High softball team defeated Paso Robles 3-2 on Tuesday behind Jessie Hufstetler, who struck out five and gave up two runs on seven hits in the complete-game victory.

Hufstetler also had two hits at the plate for the Greyhounds (21-2, 7-1 PAC 7), who scored two runs on two Bearcat errors in the first inning. Mackenzie Messina also had two hits for Atascadero.

Jenna Wookey gave up three runs, one earned, in the complete-game loss for Paso Robles (12-7, 4-4 PAC 7).

“Wookey pitched a great game. The errors were the difference in the game for us but we played pretty well,” Paso Robles coach Val Reynolds said.

Megan Clarke had three hits to lead the Bearcats at the plate.

Arroyo Grande 14, Pioneer Valley 1

Jordan Robinson had four hits and three runs scored, Jill Compton struck out 13, and the Eagles (15-8, 5-3 PAC 7) cruised past the Panthers at home.

Compton gave up one run on five hits without walking a batter in the complete-game victory.

Ramie Castilleja had three hits and three runs scored, Maurisa Dominguez had two doubles and Charlette Yracheta had a double and two RBI for Arroyo Grande.

Compton added two hits for the Eagles, including a double, two RBI and a run scored.

Nipomo 10, Santa Maria 0, 5 innings

Courtney Cuzick struck out 14 and gave up just two hits in a shortened complete-game shutout for the Titans (12-8, 6-2 Los Padres League).

Gianna Abatti and Candace Fryckman had two hits and two RBI, Rachel Moody had three RBI and Destiny Fryckman had two hits and two runs scored for Nipomo.

Morro Bay 14, Templeton 2, 6 innings

Jordan Martinez had three hits, including a double and a solo home run, three RBI and three runs scored to lead the Pirates (10-8, 5-3 LPL).

Marissa Tabares gave up two runs, one earned, over 5 1⁄3 innings in the win.

Caitlyn Cowardin, Kylie Gacad and Carli Watt had two hits each for Morro Bay.

The Pirates jumped out to an early lead with five runs in the first inning and four in the second.

Ashanti Alba had a double and two runs scored for the Eagles (4-15, 3-5 LPL).

North County Christian 11, Coastal Christian 10

Kylie Bergquist pitched a complete game, and Cheyenne Ricks had four hits and four RBI as the Crusaders (6-1, 7-2 CVL) rallied from a 6-0 deficit in the fourth inning to sneak past the Conquerors (1-9, 1-7 CVL) at home.

Bergquist gave up three earned runs and struck out two for North County Christian.

Sevelyn Van Ronk had two hits with a triple and four runs for the Coastal Christian.

The Crusaders, who took a 9-7 lead after six innings, had to rally again late, scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off win.

Coast Union 10, Valley Christian 6

Remy Corbet had three hits, an RBI and three runs scored to lead the Broncos (6-5, 6-1 CVL) past the Lions and into first place in the league standings.

Corbet also pitched a complete game, giving up six runs on seven hits, walking three and striking out four.

Christina Placencia had two hits and two RBI and Gabby Bucio had a two-run double in the first inning for Coast Union.

Arroyo Grande 5, Pioneer Valley 0

Dan Ramirez gave up five hits in the complete-game shutout, striking out three and walking one for the Eagles (8-9, 5-5 PAC 7).

Gunnar Gomez had three hits and two RBI for Arroyo Grande.

Nipomo 5, Santa Maria 0

Ryan McNeil struck out 12 and gave up one hit and one walk in six innings for the Titans (10-5, 6-2 LPL).

Nipomo’s Cole Holloway had three hits with two singles and two RBI. McNeil and Tanner Autry each had a triple for the Titans.

North County Christian 17, Coastal Christian 4

The Crusaders’ Keelan Willison had two hits, three runs scored and five RBI, and Daniel Katches had three hits, four runs scored, a double and five RBI (7-4, 5-1 CVL).

Isaac Close gave up 12 runs in four innings in the loss for the Conquerors (1-5, 1-4 CVL). Close added two runs and a double for Coastal Christian.

Valley Christian 21, Coast Union 3

Quinten Raethke took the loss for the Broncos as Coast Union (4-7, 4-3 CVL) lost on the road.

Jack Empey had 38 assists, Tanner Howard had four aces, and the Eagles (10-1, 6-0 PAC 7) swept the Panthers 25-18, 25-15, 25-15. Wyatt Bishop had four kills, and Cameron Arnet added three for Arroyo Grande.

Righetti 3, San Luis Obispo 2

Peter Lee had 26 digs, and Tyler Powell had 10 kills and four blocks, but the Tigers (12-10-2, 5-2 PAC 7) lost 25-14, 25-21, 25-26, 25-23, 15-12.

Parker Lauritzen added 10 kills and two blocks for San Luis Obispo.

Morro Bay 3, Santa Maria 0

Edward Griley had 16 kills, seven blocks and five aces for the Pirates (11-0, 6-0 LPL) as they swept the Saints 25-13, 25-14, 25-15 to clinch the first LPL title in school history.

Marcus Zorovich had 41 assists and three kills, and Carson Szerek had 26 digs for Morro Bay.

Orcutt Academy 3, Mission Prep 0

The Royals (5-9) were swept 25-19, 25-21, 25-20 on the road.

Nigel Anderson had five solo blocks, Cole Parkingson had nine kills and three aces and Chris Garner had six kills and four digs for Mission Prep.

The doubles team of Adrian Angulo and Mason Hansen didn’t drop a game in three sets to lead the Tigers (11-5, 9-2 PAC 7) in a rout of the Knights.

Luke Iunker and Brandon Lippold swept 6-0, 6-3, 6-0 in doubles, and Shawn Gu swept 6-0, 6-1, 7-5 in singles for San Luis Obispo.

Arroyo Grande 17, Paso Robles 1

Jordan Hayashi and Sean Hollister didn’t lose a game in their six singles sets, the Eagles swept doubles play and Arroyo Grande (15-1, 11-0) clinched the PAC 7 regular season championship.

The doubles teams of Sage Lysobey and Tyler Anderson, and Cole Laughton and Ryley Anderson swept their three sets for the Eagles.

Coast Union 9 (75), Morro Bay 9 (73)

John McElgunn swept 6-2, 6-0, 6-1 to lead the Broncos (3-8) to the narrow nonleague victory over the Pirates.

Jose Placencia and Alan Hernandez won two singles sets, and Miles Trevelyan and Dinh Truong won two doubles sets for Coast Union.

BOYS GOLF

Righetti 406, San Luis Obispo 420

Reilly McMahon shot a 3-under 69 at the San Luis Obispo Country Club to lead the Warriors to PAC 7 win over the Tigers.

Grady Smith and Adam Zakaria carded a 78 each and Parker Irving added an 85 for San Luis Obispo.
