College Roundup: Cuesta softball team falls to Hancock

The Cuesta College softball team lost at Allan Hancock 8-2 on Thursday, dropping to 8-23 on the season and 4-8 in Western State Conference play.

Kelly Lockwood was 2 for 3 with a double for Cuesta.

Cuesta baseball team rained out against Hancock

The Cuesta College baseball team’s home game against Allan Hancock was postponed because of rain.

The game has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Monday at Cuesta.

Cal Poly's Keddy to play in elite national program

Cal Poly volleyball player Jennifer Keddy is one of 48 players to earn an invitation to participate in this summer’s U.S. Women’s National A2 Team Program.

Keddy, the 2011 Big West Conference Player of the Year, will join the other 47 players starting June 26 for training at Ohio Dominican University in Columbus.

The players will be split into four teams of 12, which will square off in a round robin before a semifinal and final round.

Games will be played during the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships at the Greater Columbus Convention Center from June 30 to July 4.
