A view from TV Tower Road shows the $3.3 million retaining wall project under way on the Cuesta Grade.

The far right southbound lane of Highway 101 will be closed for up to six months starting just north of the summit.

The truck brake check area on the southbound side of the highway at the summit of Cuesta Grade remains open.

However, bicyclists will be detoured onto Old Stagecoach Road during this project.
