Grover Beach's Exploration Station to collect old electronics

Published: April 8, 2012

Grover Beach’s Exploration Station is celebrating Earth Day by taking unwanted and worn-out electronics, including televisions, monitors, computers, laptops, printers, copiers, office machines and all phones. There is no charge for the service.

Batteries, light bulbs or household appliances such as microwaves or vacuums will not be accepted.

Electronics will be accepted at 867 Ramona Ave., behind Rabobank at Ninth Street and Ramona Avenue in downtown Grover Beach. Donations can be dropped off Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tax-deduction receipts are available on request, and free pickup from homes or businesses is available.

The electronic waste collection program supports the Exploration Station through the Computers for Youth program and Interactive Science Center, as well as other programs.
