Sagebrush Days is a-comin’ on April 21! The Vendors’ Faire starts early at 8 a.m. and goes through 2 p.m. with all kinds of good stuff for sale. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. going south through town from 14th Street around Fr. Reginald Park by the mission and back again.

There’s still time to submit parade entries and buy a sale space. There will be an exciting quick-draw contest, a pie contest and a music contest. And, the Lions Club is sponsoring a rib cook-off. Businesses will be open. Put on your best bib and tucker and join us!

Art contest deadline

The Native Daughters of the Golden West Art Contest deadline for submissions is April 16. Artwork will be accepted that day at 1227 Lana Street, off Creston Road in Paso Robles, from 2 to 6 p.m. Entries must reflect California — flora and fauna, historical sites, or famous people or events. Night of food and wine

The Pleasant Valley Wine Trail presents the third annual Bordeaux Blitz on April 14 from noon to 4 p.m. at RiverStar Vineyards, 7450 Estrella Road in San Miguel. Join them for wine, food and great friends. Live music by the Mystics. Tickets $25 in advance, available online at 222.RiverStarVineyards.com. and $35 at the door.

Return to the 1800s

Old Mission Days at Old Mission San Antonio in Jolon is scheduled to kick off on April 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Return to the early 1800s with a visit with soldados, artisans, vaqueros, music, dancing, guided tours and demonstrations of early California crafts and food.

From north Highway 101 take the Jolon exit to Mission Road on Fort Hunter Liggett.
